About me

Hi, I'm Hartiessan Asep, an HBO-ICT graduate student from Limburg with a strong interest in fullstack development, UI/UX and design systems.

My specialization is frontend development: building clean, consistent and user-friendly interfaces with attention to structure, visual detail and accessibility. I also have experience with backend concepts and some knowledge of C# and Python.

My goal is to grow as a fullstack developer who can combine thoughtful frontend work with solid technical implementation across the stack.

Graduation Internship Stream Software 2026 - Present

Working on a central design system and reusable UI library for multiple enterprise applications. Focused on design foundations, component consistency, UX patterns, MUI theming and Storybook documentation.

Performed a UI audit of existing applications

First Internship Research Centre Data Intelligence, Zuyd 2024 - 2025

Worked on "The voice of Heerlen", a scrollytelling proof of concept focused on empathy, poverty and data storytelling. The project explored how a data-first approach and a story-first approach can influence empathy through A/B testing.

Created two scrollytelling website concepts
Combined data visualization with personal storytelling

Website Redesign

Website Redesign Concept (in progress) - De Veste Limburg

A redesign concept for a local business website, focused on improving the homepage, navigation, visual hierarchy and mobile usability.

UI Design Front-end Responsive Web

My role: Created the visual direction, improved page hierarchy and translated the concept into responsive UI.

What I learned: How small navigation and layout decisions can make a website clearer and easier to use.

Bodhi Tattoo Website

A responsive website for a tattoo studio, focused on presenting the brand, artist work, studio information and contact flow in a clear visual layout.

My role: Designed and built the website, structured the content and prepared it for GitHub Pages deployment.
